We got to take a whole weekend and go camping up in the Adirondacks. We had a blast. Lorelli had never slept in a tent before, had never been camping, and I had not been in TOO MANY years. So, Jennifer decided on a whim that we should drive up to the Adirondack's and just camp and hike to our little heart's content. And that's just what we did. It was so much fun. And the scenery was so beautiful. The weather was perfect. And it was awesome to be out of the house. There were plenty of PEE incidents in nature. My pajama pants got wet. Jennifer's socks. Lorelli's pants. You know how things are. At one point I thought we were all going to laugh ourselves to death because of our goings on. But, we made it back home safe and sound. We hiked. We roasted marshmallows. We slept in a tent. We walked trails. Jennifer and Lorelli fell in the river. We avoided Poison Ivy. And scraped by with no bear sightings. We are already looking forward to going back again...maybe in April because the campsite we stayed at is hosting a free weekend if you come up there with rakes and gloves and the intent to work and help clean up the site before the season starts again.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from this weekend.
