Love Love Love

I love my wife, my kiddo, our dog, and most of all...MY LIFE! I couldn't ask for anything more than what I already have. I get to spend time with those that love me, while doing the things that I love!!!

Ahhhh....the spa

Jennifer and I had an AMAZING and INCREDIBLE date night last week. We got to go here :

And by HERE I mean...THE SPA! OHMYGOODNESS it was amazing. We used a gift card and got a couples massage! For an HOUR!!!! There is a sauna room. Showers. Spa sandals. Water with lemon. Water with orange. A tranquility room where you can sit and read or snooze or Facebook or WHATEVER!!! Did I mention that it was amazing??? Oh, I did? Sorry.

But seriously...there is a nice masseuse that comes around to our office once a month and gives us 10-15 minute chair massages. Well...she came by 2 weeks ago and it felt so amazing that I called up Rasa Spa and made an appointment for us to go on a Saturday night and get a massage together. Jennifer has been stressed with work. I am back in the full swing of working. Our house is a bit messy right now because we have both been feeling icky for a while. We are planning a vacation. And we have a 5 year old. So...not to complain...but life sometimes just gets in the way of being able to relax. Enter---massage!!!

We went in a bit early like they told us to and we got to sit in the little sauna. That, to Jennifer, was totally worth every dollar the massage cost. Warm, moist, heat in a darkened room with very soft wooden flute music and nobody demanding anything from us. Yeah, I guess I enjoyed it, too. :)

The massage was cool. We went into the room and there were two beds. We laid down on these HEATED massage beds. With million thread count sheets and a big silk blanket on top of that. And then....oh then...glorious massaging began. It was a little....odd...uncomfortable.... embarrassing at first because you're naked under those blankets. But then it felt good because the muscles began to relax and I began to focus on the actual massage and not the rest of it.

After the massage we went back in the sauna. And sat for about 15 minutes or so.

Pure and utter BLISS!!!

Vacation planning

I am super excited. My Love and I are planning a vacation in February for Lorelli's winter break. Jennifer is taking the whole week off of work, to spend with the kiddo. At the end of the week we are going to head in to The City. And when I say The City, I don't mean Ithaca, which is what some of the "village people" up here call my little town. The City. HA! I digress....We are going to New York City!!!!

We are only going to stay a couple days, but we are planning on making it great for Lorelli. She wants to go to the Statue of Liberty. She has seen it on tv. And in books. And different places. So, she decided that she wants to see it in person. And she wants to "go all the way up to the very top." No problem. We will be making those reservations this evening. Jennifer wants to take her to FAO Schwarz, the toy store. I think that she and I are looking forward to that for ourselves much as we are looking forward to it for L.

We are also talking about going to the Museum of Natural History so that Lorelli can see all the dinosaur fossils because she L-O-V-E-S dinosaurs. Like....seriously! The child is infatuated. She knows more about dinosaurs than I do sometimes. It's ridiculous.

Snow Play

So...this new blog design is taking some getting used to in the actual display of my blog and it is kinda making me mad....I hope I don't end up hating this new blog design because I DO love it so!!!

Anyways....lately, we have been having lots of fun in the snow. Today - I share that with you!!

Wow - I am getting lots of love and good feedback about the new blog look. Thank you, everyone. I love it. I love the new look. I love the new feel. I love you guys!

As for what has been going on here...we are enjoying married life. I love saying, "My wife..." It makes me so happy. She makes me so happy. It is not all unicorns and rainbows. But, its not bad, either. I didn't expect being married to be this amazing. I have never believed that marriage was something I would want until Jennifer came into my life. We started talking October 9th. We met in person November 19th. She proposed to me at the Texas state sign on March 20th. We moved Lorelli and me up to New York on July 13th. And we got married on November 19th. It has been one whirlwind up and down year. But, I wouldn't trade one moment of it for anything else. Here are a few wedding weekend photos for you to enjoy.

I will be back in a while with more posts and more pictures. Bye, lovies!

And just like that my blog has a whole new look. I have a new title. I have new information. And I am working on new content, just by living out my new life.

I decided to stick with the blog I already had and just change everything about it. I have not deleted any old posts or anything. But I have (obviously) changed just about everything else. I just feel like this person you are reading today is a completely different person that started this blog 3 years ago. I have been told, your past makes you who you are in the present, and also determines what direction you will go in the future...

Stick with me and I promise to begin regular blogging again. I have missed it. And hopefully, you guys have missed me, too.

And, oh yeah, just in case you hadn't noticed, I have started a food blog. It's called NomNoms By C. The link to my new blog is at the top of the page. Enjoy!!

Change is in the air

I am thinking of starting a new blog. Life Gone Awry has been me for the last several years...but I no longer feel that my life is awry. I feel as if I am where I am supposed to be....and headed where I am supposed to be going...

So...forget the blog redesign...that won't be happening I don't think. Instead....keep your eyes open for a new blog. Not sure what or where or anything like that...but I DO believe it is time for a change!!!
