A good friend of mine made me realize that love is more than just the gushy stuff. So....here is my post about what love is in our household. After reading this, leave me a comment and let me know what love is....in your household!!!
So...without further ado...
...painting our closet pink because I love pink
...buying me a unicorn for christmas even though she despises them
...building me a whole makeup/vanity area in the bedroom
...making me a "bed" in the living room when I am sooooo sick so that I am not stuck in the bedroom
...sleeping with a fan on because I get hot, even though she stays cold
...rubbing MY feet after she has had a hard day at work
...building a 4 foot snowman on the back porch, in 12 degree weather, with no snow pants, just because the kiddo has never built a snowman before
...making sure that I always get a salad fork with my dinner because dinner forks are just too big for me
...eating meatless meals just because I don't always want to eat meat
...a mid-week tryst in Tennessee when we were 900 miles apart
...getting the stomach bug that I had just days before above-mentioned tryst in Tennessee and not cursing me for giving it to her
...letting me wear her warm fuzzy socks because my feet get cold in my boots at work
...telling me that we can have leftovers instead of going home to cook a big meal
...washing the dishes by hand because the dishwasher is too full and I made dinner
...taking the trash out late at night in the snowy blustery cold so that I don't have to
...bathing the kiddo for me so that I can have a half hour of ME time
...standing in the bitter cold at the bus stop with the kiddo so that I can keep getting ready in the morning
...a bucket and a cool wash cloth when I come down with yet another stomach bug
But...most of all...love is what we have between us. And it is something that I will never let go of.
